About Dennis Brown

Dennis Brown Artist creates Santa's and other keepsakes   Dennis Brown, husband and father of two, finds time to create Santas and much more. An artist for over 35 years, and having co-founded and been the original artist for “Reasons to Believe”, Dennis has recently ventured out on his own. Taking his artwork to a new level and in a new direction, he has expanded the field of his creations far beyond the Santas that collectors have come to know and love. While Santa is still very near and dear to his heart, and will always be his signature piece, he is freely exploring the world of whimsical and fantastical creatures that live in the imaginations of us all.

Dennis has been featured in many magazines and publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, Sunset,    Seattle Homes & Lifestyles, 425, and Figurines and Collectables, as well as the Evening Magazine television show and NW Cable News. Dennis’ work is collected by people around the world, and is presented in galleries and museums, the Charlie Daniels Museum in Nashville being one. His Santas are on display in the Whitehouse, the Vice-Presidents mansion, several Governors’ Mansions, and in the homes of baseball legend Omar Visquel, Seattle Seahawk alumni Norm Johnson, Grant Wistrom, Josh Brown, and Jerry Wunsch. Dennis has done work for a number of charity foundations, primarily those supporting children’s causes.Dennis Brown Clay Santas

Having designed for Enesco, Midwest of Cannon Falls, United Design, the Franklin Mint, and most recently the Danbury Mint, Dennis creates each and every day. His inspiration comes from the world and people around him. Although best known for his Santas, Dennis creates a vast variety of characters and has decided to share them for the first time with collectors.

The artwork that started “Reasons to Believe” has actually grown into much more and as an artist, Dennis is very excited to share it in its new form, in a new arena. For 14 years Dennis sat at his desk in a gallery window in Kirkland sculpting every day, but now enjoys working at home and spending the days with his wife Lynda and their two kids, Zachary and Skylar. “Santa will always be dear to my heart, and will always have a prominent place in my work”, Dennis says. Leaning on the whimsical and fantastical world around us you will see Santas, wizards, dragons, animals of all kinds, dwarfs, elves, and gnomes to mention just a few! Family first, artwork second has opened up new doors for Dennis, and with his wife Lynda by his side, he will be able to present new and very unique pieces for you to enjoy.

Today, Dennis has a small workshop that he works out of in Bothell's Country Village. You can find him quietly creating what he loves, Santa Claus figurines..
