Another Week, Another Great Clay Santa Figurine Project!
Hello again! Yes its another week , and I've enjoyed the Santas Figurines, and Santa scenes that I've worked on this week and I hope you’ve taken the time to look at the pieces that we have shown on the website and our Facebook Page (http://www.Facebook.com/dennisbrownartist). Recently I have been working on a piece that is different from the Santas I have been creating . I'm bringing a favorite kids story to life with the creation of The Tortoise and the Hare (pictures coming soon!), and then will start Humpty Dumpty, it’s a stretch from the Santas but I think you will enjoy the end results. It still captures the childhood magic that I so love.

Also we are introducing a Santa forum that will allow people from around the world to show off there Santa figurines, and communicate with different artist both professional...those that are just beginning, I know I,m very interested in seeing what others are doing and I think you will be to. Also, soon we will be working on a video of a Santa being made so you can watch it from start to finish so be watching my Youtube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/dennisbrownartist)!
Then a stop motion animation in are the drawing table for the near future. I hope you have a good week and enjoy the time you have doing whatever it is you do. Also if anyone would like to send a picture( via email ) I would love to see projects that you are doing with Polyform Products polymer clay.
Warmest regards, Dennis
What a Great Week Making My Mini-Santa Figurine
Well another week! This has been a productive week, very creative time for me the Santa figurines that I've created are some of the best ever. As you might know by now I love making Santa's, and this week we are introducing a miniature Santa that has been completed.
This one you an see is the prototype. I made to make sure that I could do one this small and maintain the detail and quality that I expect. I'm very happy with it and will be doing many more doing different activities, so I hope you enjoy him.
Also this week a series of photos were taken to show very detailed larger Santa figurines placed in scenes or vignettes as they are called. I'm proud of each one of these larger pieces so take a look at them and let me know what you think, all are waiting to be painted and then they will really come to life.
Right now I'm in the process of painting a series of elves that I've made and again I'm very proud of them. I need to get back to painting so until next week happy Valentines Day.

What a Great Day!!
Well another week and another entry into the blog. This time I want to talk about new projects, and new ideas. I've been working hard designing new pieces that will light up my 44 years of creating with Super Sculpey. Creating Santa figurines and the most incredible Santa scenes I've ever done. We will be placing photos of works in progress, and allow you to see what I'm working on currently. Another exciting thing for me personally is the fact that today I've received the best award I could ever have hoped for! Imagines of my work is now being pictured on the labels of the very clay that I've used for over 40 years, my working relationship with Polyform roducts Inc. is one I'm most proud of. Also I want to tell you that the man behind the magic and the wizard behind the promotion of work I do is Sean and I'd not be before you right now if it was not for the work he does behind the scenes and I'm very grateful because it allows me to do what I do best... have a great week and enjoy the sunshine.

Clean Start in 2012
Well another week has gone by and in my normal pattern of creating, I realized that the very studio that many of the Santa figurines are created in was spinning out of control. My work area was getting smaller and smaller, and I came to quickly understand that if I didn’t stop to clean and organize my mess I would soon be making santas outside. Sad since we are in the middle of winter here in Bothell and it's cold outside.
The Snow has Come and a New Santa Is Born
Well, well well, the snow has arrived, with abundance. We are heading into a bad couple days, and I hope everyone is staying safe and warm . I enjoy days like this, working with my clay making a santa in a winter scene! It makes it very easy to make santa figurines when you look out the window and snow coming down so thick and swerling around like a whirlwind. I just came in from outside after shoveling snow off the side walks with a couple other merchants and we finally realised there was not much point its all covered up again. (but beautiful). So I will be working at home for a couple of days riding out this storm and keeping a fire in the fireplace, and the snow from smashing my trees.. where ever you are enjoy this season and be safe. -Dennis
Spirit is Still Alive
As we now know the holiday season as we know it has moved on , as we get on with our day to day routine I would like to remind you that we should do all we can to keep the spirit of the Christmas season alive! The charities that we reached out to are still there and still need our help, as well as the fallen heroes. Their families are moving on into yet another year without there loved one. We need to remember them also, and reach out to help them with there loss.
Time of Reflection. Time of Honor. Time to Say Thank You.
Well another week has come and gone and the holiday season is in full swing! Country Village is alive and bright with lights, but there is something that I wanted to share with all of you, it's my association with the Fallen Heroes Project. An artist I know has taken on the incredible task of drawing a picture of every person who has died in the fight of terrorism. To date he has completed around three thousand of them and they have been delivered to the families.
It is an honorable task he has taken on and I'm proud to help support him in this endeavor. You'll see on my website a Santa Figurine that has been made available for sale specifically for this project and 100% of the sale goes to help this project, followed by a new one every month for as long as it takes for him to complete this project. Take time this Christmas season to say thanks to someone who has given so much for the freedom that we love. One way that you can do this is by hanging an ornament on your tree in your home as a memorial or reminder of someone who has lost there life so that we can have ours or you can make a donation to this foundation by going to fallenheroes.com... hopefully, both. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
Warmest regards Dennis,

Tis The Season to BELIEVE!
Well the most wonderful time of the year is upon us and what a magical time it is! I love the Christmas lights and the the decorated Christmas trees. With all the problems in this world it still a time to be very thankful, for families , friends and the fact that we are still here. I personally am grateful to be doing something that I love! To be able to spend my day creating is very rewarding, and I'm grateful that after all these years people are still open to my creations.
Thanksgiving: Time for Family and Tradition
Tomorrow I will be spending the day with my wife and kids doing something that has been a tradition in my family going back many years. Back to Thanksgiving days at my beloved grandmothers house. Each year we would gather as a family and decorate her Christmas tree. It’s a memory that remains very close to my heart and we still today try to follow that tradition. We will be putting up a 12 ft. white flocked tree with blue lights and all hand blown glass ornaments, totally different than years past when our tree was adorned with over 500 Santa ornaments.
